Answer to Question # 2

Use traceroute to trace the route to any two IP addresses on the campus network. Explain each line in the output.

I put in the tracert into the Command Prompt and put in the domain google.com and when I put it in this is what I received. The left sides contains the number of hops while the 1^st hop is the internet gateway on the network this traceroute was done. While the 2^nd hop is the original ISP (internet service provider) and from the 4^th line hop and to next are all the routers that it’s connected to middle is the time it took to each of the hop. This all depicts the connection of my computer to the domain google.com, where I see it goes from New York to New Jersey and then eventually to Boston.
