#2. Use traceroute to trace the route to any two IP addresses on the campus network. Explain each line in the output.

My traceroute was done from home. My first domain is www.cunyportal.cuny.edu and its IP address is [69.16.143.110]. My traceroute is done in 30 hops. I got 12 outputs of IP addresses. My 1st IP address is [192.168.1.1] and it was traced as  private, my 2nd IP address is [67.243.152.1]  and it was traced to   Jamaica, NY  my 3rd IP address is  [24.168.138] and location wasn't found.
My 4th IP address is [184.152.112.101] and it was traced to Wichita Kansas, my 5th IP address is [66.109.6.76] and it was traced to Wichita Kansas,  my 6th IP address is [107.14.17.172] was also traced to Wichita Kansas  my 7th IP address is [66.109.9.30] and it was traced to Wichita Kansas also,  my 8th IP address is [66.109.6.2] and was traced to Wichita Kansas, my 9th IP address is [107.14.19.54] and it is traced to Wichita Kansas my 10th IP address is [66.109.9.103] which is also traced to Wichita Kansas, my 11th IP address is [209.197.0.22] and it was traced to Phoenix Arizona  and my 12th IP address is [69.16.190.10] and it is also traced to Phoenix Arizona  .

My second traceoute is also done from home. My second domain is  www.epermit.cuny.edu and its IP address is [69.16.143.110]. My traceroute for this was also done in 30 hops and I also got 12 outputs of IP addresses. My 1st IP address is [192.168.1.1] and it was  traced as private , my 2nd IP address is [67.243.152.1] and it is  traced to Jamaica NY , my 3rd IP address is [24.168.138] and no location was found for it.   My 4th IP address is [184.152.112.101] and it was traced to Wichita Kansas , my 5th  IP address is [66.109.6.76] and it is also  traced to  Wichita Kansas , my 6th  IP address is , [107.14.17.172] and is also traced to Wichita Kansas  ,  my 7th IP address is [66.109.9.30] and is also traced to Wichita Kansas, my 8th IP address is [66.109.6.2] and it is traced to Wichita Kansas, my 9th IP address is [107.14.19.54] and  it is also traced to Wichita Kansa , my 10th IP address is [66.109.9.103] and it is traced to Wichita Kansas , my 11th IP address is [209.197.0.22] and it is traced to Phoenix Arizona , my 12th and final IP address is [69.16.190.10] and it is also traced to Phoenix Arizona.

#3. Use traceroute to any dotcom website hosted in your home country. This might not work from

campus because traceroute is blocked by the firewall so try at home. Then copy all IP addresses in the

trace and do a web search "where is <IP address>". Note and write or draw the geographic route your

query took.

 

 

The dotcom website I choose to trace the route of is www.instagram .com
